Elliott and his wife Rebecca own and operate Edgar’s Feed & Seed. They have 3 children: Callum, Hallie and Landon who are all involved in running the family farm and Edgar’s.
Elliott started working with Niel and Cathy in Grade 11 and did a co-op term with them in Grade 12. He continued working at Edgar’s while attending the University of Guelph. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and planned to eventually purchase Edgar’s Feed & Seed.
In 2013, Elliott and Rebecca purchased Edgar’s Feed & Seed and after operating the business for 5 years at Niel and Cathy’s, they made the decision to build a new facility. In 2017 they built a new warehouse, retail store and unloading facility on their home farm, on the edge of Whitechurch, Ontario.
Their plan is to continue offering excellent quality feed, seed, and other retail items through Edgar’s Feed & Seed, while also maintaining their high standard of customer service. They are also committed to promoting and supporting local businesses whenever possible.
In his spare time, Elliott spends time with his family and friends and enjoys curling in the wintertime.
Rebecca Miller — Co-owner

Rebecca has a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Guelph and is a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA). She has worked in the crop industry for the last 11 years, working as a territory manager and agronomist for a large seed company.
Rebecca manages the crop inputs and agronomy side of Edgar's and provides recommendations on seed selection and agronomic advice. She also consults with customers on analyzing soil test results, compiling fertilizer recommendations and providing chemical recommendations.
In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys time with friends and family and playing broomball during the winter months.
Niel Edgar
Original Founder and Consultant
Niel lives with his wife Cathy up the road from Edgar’s current location. Niel has a passion for the agriculture industry and is a key asset to the on-going success of the business.
In his spare time he enjoys curling, managing his beef cattle, and spending time with his friends and family.
Mel Coultes
Accounting and Purina Orders
Mel has been with Edgar’s since 2019 doing the daily and monthly accounting. She also manages the inventory, handles the logistics for the Purina business along with other aspects of the feed supply and retail store.
She and her family have a swine and beef operation just outside of Belgrave. In her free time, Mel enjoys spending time at her family cottage.
Dave Willis
Delivery and Warehouse
Dave has been a key member of the Edgar team since early 2021. He makes deliveries, helps manage the inventory and warehouse, and serves customers in the store.
Dave and his wife Sheila live in Wingham and enjoy spending time on their sea doos and camping in the summer.
Steve Van Engen
Delivery
Steve has been with Edgar’s since 2018 and was a big help during the move into our new location. He runs the main box delivery truck on Edgar’s weekly delivery route in Huron county.
Steve and his wife Kathy have a farm between Wroxeter and Belmore.
Coye Edgar
Warehouse and Customer Service
Coye joined the Edgar team in 2018. He is a jack of all trades and has become well versed in most areas of the business. He helps with inventory and warehouse management, loading and unloading trucks, and serves customers in the store.
Coye and his family have a farm in the St Helens area. He is active in many sports teams throughout the year with both school and the Lucknow sports leagues.
